I’m looking for a car that’s not salvaged title – that’s not listed by dealer. Do people not own their cars anymore? Why are all ads on craigslist, sjmercury, autotrader, etc. etc. by dealers almost exclusively? I live in the SFO bay area and would much appreciate advice on how to buy a “FSBO” for sale by owner second hand car.

i am looking for a good inexpensive vehicle and i heard that going to an auction is a great way to get one. i live in orlando florida and was wondering if anyone knew of one close to there??

Look in your local Yellow Pages(Phone Book). Many auctions are open to licensed dealers only so you need to call and find out if any are open to the public. Some of the problems with buying a car at auction are you do not get to drive them and you buy them “AS IS” and usually have to pay cash for them..
